See the Temple of Zeus, the Hippodrome, the Stadium, and more, and admire classical sculpture at the Archaeological Museum of Olympia. Shop for souvenirs and admire 19th-century architecture in the city of Pyrgos.

Your guide will meet you at the exit of the cruise port of Katakolon, carrying a sign with your name on it, and escort you to your private, air-conditioned vehicle: you'll be on your way within 30 minutes of disembarkation. As this is a private tour, timings can be adjusted to work with your cruise, but this is a typical itinerary.

After purchasing your tickets, stroll through the ruins and admire the spectacular Temple of Zeus, the Gymnasium, the Hippodrome, and the Stadium, as your guide explains the different athletic events that were held here.

From here, it's a short walk to the famous Archaeological Museum of Olympia (own expense). Among many priceless exhibits discovered at the site, see marble statues from the Temple of Zeus and a statue of Hermes carved by the most famous sculptor in ancient Greece, Praxiteles.

Next, it's back to the vehicle for the 25-minute drive to the city of Pyrgos, founded in the seventeenth century and still a regional center with lovely neoclassical architecture. Explore the central square fronted by St. Nicholas' church, see the 19th-century Apollo Theater, admire the old market, and shop for souvenirs.

You'll spend around 90 minutes in Pyrgos before the 15-minute drive back to Katakolon, where you'll bid your guide and driver farewell.
