After your hotel pickup around 9am, board your private vehicle, and head to mythological Peloponnese.

First, stop at the Corinth Canal after a 1-hour drive, one of the wonders of 19th century engineering. Long before the modern construction of this waterway, the ancient Greeks had applied advanced mechanics and wheels in their aim to pass the ships across the isthmus and save precious sailing time.

Next, head to Ancient Nemea in mythical Peloponnese, where the Greeks were organizing games (the Nemean Games), as a part of the Panhellenic religious and athletic cycle of festivities held also in Delphi, Isthmia and Olympia (the world's famous Olympic Games). Here, you'll learn in detail about the importance of the games for the ancient Greeks. Later, watch a short media presentation of the Society for the Revival of the Nemean Games. The society was established in 1994 by 23 visionary inhabitants of the area and today it counts thousands of members from all around the world. The New Nemean Games take place every 4 years since 1994 and everyone (not only professional athletes) can participate via a simple registration form!

The area of Nemea, being Greece's largest vineyard zone, has been most famous for its red wine since antiquity. Visit a top-quality winery, where you'll learn about the modern versus the ancient methods of wine production and taste some exquisite wine varieties included in your tour. Finally, your included lunch will be enjoyed before boarding our car for the return back to Athens. You can expect a drop-off at your hotel at around 6pm.

Time schedule is relative as this is a private tour and you can adjust the time frame as per your preferences and needs.
